When you over bet the pot it sets the alarm bells ringing if you are paying attention. This is because it is an unusual play. I mean why would you bet $100 just to win $70 in the pot? But not all opponents pay attention in the same way. For example, a great player will ask himself why you are betting $100 to just win $70, whereas a weaker player will just look at the strength of their hand and decide what course of action to take. For them the bet sizing is irrelevant, and it is these players we should exploit by over betting the pot whenever we can.
The weaker casino players, who just pay attention to the strength of their hand, and nothing else, are never going to fold a hand as strong as top pair. With this in mind you should just pump the pot on all three-streets and over bet the river when you have the nuts. You don't even have to balance your range against these players because they don't adjust. When they do; you do – it's as simple as that.
Another good way to exploit the weaker players involves playing out of position. Playing out of position is never much fun no matter how weak your opponent is. If you are drawing, out of position against a weak player then consider donk-leading. By taking the initiative in the pot you set your own price for the draw, safe in the knowledge that you are not going to face a raise that often. By checking you allow your opponent to bet an amount that sees you having to fold your hand due to incorrect pot odds.
